LOUISVILLE, Ky. --Major construction on Louisville's largest TV will start early next month.
Churchill Downs will begin construction on its new 15,000 square foot LED video board on the backside in early January. Work can't start until the barn area closes on December 31.
Track spokesman Darren Rogers says despite the cold and snow, the work on the new clubhouse sections at the top of the homestretch are on track and will be ready for Derby Week 2014.
